well it took a lot longer than i thought it would... a one weekend project turned into 2 and a half weekends. Finally got the brakes completely done this morning... and WOW what a difference!!! :D
I darn near put my head through the windshield on the first test.. no problems stopping now at all... even with the 35's on there.
Sorry Rondog... i know you wanted me to take pics, but my camera crapped out on me last week :( Feel free to PM me though if you need any specific details. She stops on a dime now!! :)

    IIRC I recommended a padded headband...did I not? ;)

    Good job - that's a great upgrade.

Very cool, good for you!!! I think I've finally got all the parts for mine, and I may actually be able to put them all together. I just have to finish my backing plates first. They're off an old mail Jeep, so they have a lot of miles on them. The shoes wore some grooves in the backing plates, and a couple of the grooves were actual holes. (How many miles does it take to wear grooves in the backing plates???) I tried to weld up the grooves, and did OK on most of them, but I made 3 of the holes even bigger. Never claimed to be a welder.

Anyway, when I get those fixed and all the welds ground smooth, then I can paint 'em and assemble all my new parts on.

Yup. Comes from being around all these College students all day!R)
I'll go to my corner now. Just send me some Cheeto's and  .

11" brake conversion is one of the best things for these old Jeeps except maybe Discs or a Saginaw conversion. Congrats! You'll be very happy you did it. Nickmil

Did you do all four? I have the parts but they are still attached to the narrow track D30 and I'm thinking I will just put the whole thing under there.

Yup.. i bought two sets... seperately from 2 members of this forum. both were from the front of 75 and a 76 cj if memory serves correctly. I bought the smaller wheel cylinders for the set that i used in the back and they were good to go.
