    My Jeep had a radio installed in the dash and a speaker directly above it. I have to think it was a dealer install. It is an AMC Jeep radio and it was quite a clean install. I am only the 4th owner, the 3rd owner had it from 1979 till 1991. My Jeep only has 35,000 miles. One of the tires was even original!!

    We kept the radio in the same place and closed up the speaker hole. The radio is just there for looks. I have a modern head unit in the glove compartment and an amp and cd changer in the tool box!

    Removed the trim from around the radio and it looks like an after-factory install (no paint on the edges of the cutout). Could be a dealer install, I guess. Or maybe someone swapped in a radio from a Wagoneer. The aluminum trim piece has "Jeep" logo on it. So my SuperJeep dash isn't original. I guess I'll have to call Barrett-Jackson and tell them the bad news.:rofl:
