I had a built 283 in my M38A1 (300+ HP) and played in the mud and the T90 did fine. I was running 33-12.50-15 tires and it would burn rubber any pretty much any gear.
I also have one behind a small block in mt 5000+ lb FC170 and haven't had a problem yet. I have towed some very heavy loads with it with no problems.

The usual adapter is the plate type, combined with a longer input shaft: http://www.novak-adapt.com/catalog/kits_cx.htm With this type of adapter, you use the bellhousing that came with the engine. The Advance product may be the same idea, or it may be a complete bellhousing. I'd suggest Novak - there have been several reports that the quality of Novak stuff is better. Plus Eric (Erik?) is a member here.

If you are still looking and want to go with new, go with Novak. Better quality and support and Erik's a nice guy to boot. There is a set up right now on the FS board in the classifieds. If that's not available you can put a WTB ad on here in the classifieds. R&P usually has some used ones kicking around as well. I think the one on the FS board is a complete set up so may be the best way to go. Nickmil
