plate on rear side of 2A body... what is it?

    Hey everyone,

    I've got a '48 2A. There is this strange circle punch out plate just rear of the passenger side door opening. As far as I can tell, it's original. Does anyone know what this is--or was?

    I think I have one of the 2As that was outfitted for farm use. It has the rear pto all hooked up, and i don't think it came originally with a windshild frame. Someone at a latter date added a frame off a 3A.

    Any ideas?
