    Hi everyone,

I am putting a Holbrook 3" long leaf spring kit on our '46 cj-2a, and it looks like I will definitely need some longer than stock brake hoses by about 5" or so for both the front and rear. Does anyone know of a good application to get some stock looking rubber hoses like the originals, but longer? What have you guys used in the past? I can get braided steel ones, but they are not the look I am after, and they are a little overkill in the performance department for the Willys little drums! I thought that I read to use some off an older scout or something, but I can't find the info on it anymore.

    Thanks,
    Daniel

I just called Mile Hi when I did mine - he knew what I was talking about and sent the right ones.

I always just take the old hose in and match the ends to what they have on the shelf that's the right length. A good parts person will be willing to help you out. Nickmil

I have Holbrucks too. They're awsome. I got my lines from Mile High too. I had to get some shims from Mile High also cause the front axle needed 3 degrees(I think) more angle to make it allignable. Is that a word? I have a D30 but the same will be necessary for a D25/27.

When I changed over to 11" brakes, my stock hoses were too long. I figured out the end fittings and went to Carquest (FLAPS). The counter guy pulled out his brake parts manual and we went through it until I found the right length with the correct fittings. Of course, you have to know what length hose you want when you walk in.

I finally replaced my front hose that was broke in half. I picked it up at Parks Auto Parts for about $30. Seemed a little high priced to me but oh well. I was just suprised they walked back out with the right hose. This one is about 3" longer than the original hose. I will post the Raybestos part number when I get home.
