I looked at a possible parts jeep yesterday that didn't have much to offer but did have this. Pto and shafts to a rear mounted gear box with splined shaft. Also had a belt driven hydrolic pump on the engine and hydrolic oil tank mounted on the firewall with lines running to quick-connect fittings on the back. Also a switch or lever on the dash to run hydrolics. Don't know what I could use them for but someone could use them.

What's it worth and how were the used? thanks

Pics are worth a thousand words but, I sold a rear PTO, shaft, and rear gear box a couple of years ago that had been cleaned up and painted for about $350 IIRC. It was all in good shape and I spent a lot of time cleaning it up. The rest of the stuff I'm not sure on value but I see people over on WT looking for that stuff all the time. I'd say if in good shape you probably have some valuable stuff there. Nickmil

It is completely worthless. NOt worth the effort it would take to get rid of it. Get in touch with me, and I will spare you the trouble, I will move it out of your way. I'm just that nice of a guy.

Seriously though, I would love to find something like this. I am planning on building a jeep with the goodies you have described. I cannot find anything around here (that is not priced rediculous) so I will have to piece these items together from a tractor junkyard. If you buy this as a parts jeep, contact me if you would like to sell the accessories reasonably cheep or we might be able to work out a trade.

To answer your question, the parts you have described are the parts that made that jeep a farm vehicle:

"Pto and shafts to a rear mounted gear box with splined shaft"
This is for connecting the drive to your rotary cutter, seeder, etc.

"Also had a belt driven hydrolic pump on the engine and hydrolic oil tank mounted on the firewall with lines running to quick-connect fittings on the back. Also a switch or lever on the dash to run hydrolics"
Hydrolic pressure to raise/lower implements. Look at the rear of nearly any tractor from the past 30 years and you will see these quick connects.

I was thinking it would make a great margarita machine.:)

We could work this out. What do you have to trade?
