I have been waiting a week for my new warn rear disc brackets to come.
Today they still have not come. Phoned the parts Guy only to be told that warn no longer makes / sell the disc brake brakets, wish they cuold have told me a little sooner. I was hoping to finish the rear end this week end but now I am starting back at square one. Go junkyard hopping or try to find a Kit.

does your rear axle have the 6 mounting bolts for the backing plates? If so, you can use the caliper brackets (with a little figuring) from a mid 70's to mid 80's chevy 4x4 or fullsize blazer.

    quoted from jp magazine:
    Caliper mounting brackets from a ’73-’91 ½-ton Chevy 4x4

yeah use a chevy or wagoneer front discbrakcet on the rear. That is exactly what i did and worked like a charm. Get the 1 1/8 thick rotor and you are goo to go.

Are you sure you don't mean the 7/8 in thick rotors? That's what I used.

I used teh 1 and 1/8 rotors. I used the complete chevy setup for the rear. All parts were said from a 1980 Blazer. I guess you could use later calipers if they fit the bracket and the thinner rotors. I tried to keep everything the same so i do not have mismatched things. So it was chevy all the way around, exact same stuff :)

Saturday I will be heading out to see if I can find something. Looks like my plans of installing have change to dismanteling and cleaning when I find anything.

There has to be some boneyards in the Sacto area that'll have them. As I recall, Elk Grove isn't that far from Sacratomatoe.

Well the 4 days I had off were not a Total lose.
Found the chevy brackets at pick and pull an grabed the calipers also.
I also found a Cadillac with rear disc so grabed those also.
Talked with R & P and cnfirmed Warn no longer makes the brackets.
What was interesting Napa did not have any rotors listed for 1977\78 that were 1 1/8 but Kragen does.
Bought the disc brake wheel stud and installed the rotor onto the hubs.
    We are makeing progress now.
    Stumble, stumble.
Chevy calipers fit just fine. Cadillac calipers look like they should fit but I can not get them to move out wide enough to put on the disc with the pads on. These are emergency Brake type, they feel like they will not back off any further (scew in ) I still have 1/4 inch of piston sticking out.
Next Question, Backing Plates leave the dust covers on or take them off. I will be bead blasting them tomorrow.:)

leave em on,or take em off, it is personal preference. I take mine off, looks better and you dont get any rocks stuck between the shield and the rotor.

I agree with Danstew. I take all mine off but we have some nasty clay up here with rocks in it that gets trapped between the dust shield and rotor causing all kinds of fun. I've had mine off for about 9-10 years with no problems. Nickmil
