    Hi folks!
Thanks to all who responded to my "needed: D44 pass. side short axle" posting in the wanted section.
On a whim, I called Swamps 4WD here in town and asked if they had one.
He looked in the deepest depths of their warehouse and said he did?!?!?
So I drove like a madman up there and, lo and behold, he did!!!
It's an OEM AMC/Jeep/Dana replacement that had been in their warehouse since the 70's!
It's the only one they had and he seems to think this may be one of or THE last new one in existence.
    It's ready-to-bolt-in, too.
    See the pics.
    Price was RIGHT, too.

    Very cool and very lucky!
Just for anyone who may need a replacement, R&P has been cutting down longer shafts for this application. Nickmil.
