I have finally found an early cj5 I am planning to buy. I was wondering if you guys could post a few pics of lifted early cj5s from 2.5"-4". I may be able to get some 2.5 leafs really cheap so I am planning to do a 2.5 spring with 1.5 shackles and hopefully 34inch skinny swampers. So please post me some pics. Thank you

Standard shackle disclaimer: Shackles lift 1/2 the increase in their length, and longer shackles won't help steering precision and wander. A 3" increase in shackle length is a lot. JMO - forget the longer shackles, install new eye bushings and copy Billy's setup.

I would be happy to answer any questions / take pics.......

Animal is pretty much a stocker besides the lift and 11" brakes.

thanks billy. Animal is a sweet ride. How does it do. I would love to see some action pics. Also is it fairly stable on the road. I am going to have to drive mine to the trails. I know with the 134 its a slow ride but it'll be worth it. I can't wait to get one. Thanks.

Animal has allways done well on the trails. I have only really had it out once since the rebuild (Tellico) and I didn't take on any harder trails.

The road manners are good.......once you get used to the ross ask Brian.

Animal is an excellent trail rig, just go easy on the hand throttle in the Chute. R)

Road manners as Billy said are fine when you get used to 'em. One of the nicer Jeeps I've had the opportunity to pilot.
