Got a question....I have an olds 231 swapped itto my cj5. It has a dana 18 t-case for sure. My problem is I'm really not sure what kinda transmission it has. What I do know is it is a GM four speed and it does not use an adapter to mout to the 231. It however does have an advanced adapter on the t-case end...The closest thing I could find that looked even like what I have is either a muncie clone or a super t10...The only problem is it looks too short. There is a cover with two shift shafts coming out on the left. Oh ya I almost forgot...its has extemely close ratio's...Does seem like a strange transmission to put in a Jeep. Muncie firts gears are really tall... does any one else have this kind of swap?

Yup - got one sitting on a bench I took out. Mine has the Novak adaptor and Hurst shift kit.

Gonna go up for sale soon too - if you want a spare.

Definitely a Muncie. Either an M-22 or an M-20, M-21, or M-22 with an aftermarket gear set. I'd say the latter. See how straight cut the gear teeth are? Reminiscent of the after market Stock car racing gear sets available for the T-10 and Muncie M series transmissions. Nickmil.
