Hey guys- I had new mufflers and pipes put in last week. Been looking at them lately and they seem to be mounted down to far. Is there a general distance that should be between the top of the muffler and bottom of the floor pan? I have not measured the clearance but mine look about 4 to 5 inches. :?

My duals on my Jeep are hanging maybe 1 1/2-2" below the floor, I would think that 5" is gonna get hung on something pretty easily.

My mufflers are less than 2" from the floor pan.... Only thing I did was to move the fuel return line so it wasn't sitting right above the muffler. As far as dragging your mufflers, it depends on the terrain you normally wheel.....

I hugged mine up as close as possible to my floor withotu touching, and keeping my exhaust angles straight. Mine are about 1.5 inches below my floor

It depends on which way my muffler is swinging but mine is 1 to 3 inches away from the floor

When I worked in a muffler shop we used a 1" minimum clearance as a guide, any closer and you are really heating the interior of the Jeep. $.02
