    Hi Folks,

I recently purchased a Koenig Half Cab (Jiffy Model #525) for my '61 CJ5 and need some help with the door hinges. Does anyone have some close up images of the hinges that are mounted on the body?

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Best regards,
    Keith
PS Thanks for the top Joe :)!

I had the full Koenig top and on mine it used "piano" hinges on the doors. The hinges just mounted to the outside of the cowl with 3 big screws. John Shows has that top now, so maybe he has some pics of it.

Actually Stan, John sold the Jeep, but I'm sure there are pics somewhere. Just an FYI. ;)

I've got similar hinges on my Konig full top that are on the Myers top I've got. In fact I think I use the same part that mounts to the windshield. Just a different hinge half on the door itself. The bottom is a little different. Kinda hard to see in my pics, but hopefully it gives you an idea.

    Hey Brian,
I have the same type door/ top you have pictured (see avatar). If it is possible, can I get some closeups of the hinge "stuff" that bolts to the Jeep. I have misplaced mine and need to refresh my mind of what I am looking for . Did somebody enlarge the side windows on the top itself? The rear window you have is about the size of what I have all around  . On the good side, I guess, is the side windows in my top slide open so you could use it for a duck blind or armored jeep :D

    Thanks,
    Randy

Allright. The top hinge is very similar to the miyers tops. Not sure if the section that bolts to my windshield is for the koenig top or miyer top.

The bottom hinge is shown. The part that bolts to the door has a "pin" about 1/4" in diameter that goes above and below the flat metal that bolts to the door. (the hinge will look like a sideways capital "T") Hopefully you can imagine where those "pins" would go on the hinge that mounts to the body.

Swing the door 90* past open and it will slide up and off both sets of hinges.
