Dana 20 Tc

    Ok, stumped a little here. going through the Spicer 20 TC, It has obviously been opened up before. there is a spacer on the front output shaft between the output shaft sliding gear and the front output shaft gear. I have reviewed several break downs and none of them show this spacer?
    What to do? preload sets up ok, if i remove i don't think I will be able to get preload on the bearings
    Is this supposed to be here?

    Correction, Not preload, but end play.
    without the spacer i may not be able to get proper end play

    Yes on that 20 it is supposed to be there. It is a thrust washer for the gear and is sandwiched between the gear and bearing.
