Windshield Access Rubber Plugs?

ANyone know where to get the windshield access rubber plugs for a 74. Looked alot of places but no luck, may be I am calling them the wrong thing.

Find an auto body supplier auveco makes body plugs in all sizes. Depressed Center Hole Plugs

 

The parts book shows them by hole size, not application. I could give you a PN if you told me the size, but I expect you'd end up finding them as Jeff suggests. You could probably find a work-alike at McMaster-Carr, but it would not look the same, and you'd have to buy way more than you need.

 

Pretty sure you can buy them by the piece at a stocking retailer.

 

I've found similar items in plastic at my hardware store.

 

I don't know if you are looking for the round ones, but I just bought a set from this guy and install them. Got here quick and fit well. But, they seem to be just a standard knockout type hole cover just softer plastic. Problem with alot of places like McMaster is you have to buy a 100 of them.

I replaced mine a few years back and don't remember where I got them from but they are just standard plugs 1 1/2 " say DOT in the middle

 

Pretty sure I got mine at 4 wheel drive hardware.

 

I purchased mine at either Home Depot or Lowe’s.

Had my windshield put in by a shop and they stated that they did not think I needed the plug. It fits really tight. Anyone had any experiance without the plug? Thanks

 

I would not leave the wiper linkage exposed to curious fingers. If you want, the factory padded dash will cover the holes too. Not easy to source, but they are out there.

 

Thanks - good point. I think I found some metal plugs at Ace hardware.
