Windshield Access Rubber Plugs?

    ANyone know where to get the windshield access rubber plugs for a 74. Looked alot of places but no luck, may be I am calling them the wrong thing.

    The parts book shows them by hole size, not application. I could give you a PN if you told me the size, but I expect you'd end up finding them as Jeff suggests. You could probably find a work-alike at McMaster-Carr, but it would not look the same, and you'd have to buy way more than you need.

    Pretty sure you can buy them by the piece at a stocking retailer.

    I replaced mine a few years back and don't remember where I got them from but they are just standard plugs 1 1/2 " say DOT in the middle

    Had my windshield put in by a shop and they stated that they did not think I needed the plug. It fits really tight. Anyone had any experiance without the plug? Thanks

    I would not leave the wiper linkage exposed to curious fingers. If you want, the factory padded dash will cover the holes too. Not easy to source, but they are out there.

    Thanks - good point. I think I found some metal plugs at Ace hardware.
