looked at a bunch of steel wheels at lunch today
some had KH stamped in the lug hole flange face
    others had K12, K13 etc
some of the widths were 4.5" 5.5" 6.5" and 8" IIRC
    all were big hole, 5 x 5 1/2 pattern
also saw one MB combat wheel
all would need blasting and cleaning up
were there that many different widths ?
are these the KH wheels everyone talks about?

Jim - While searching for the 8", I've come across a number of different widths. Interesting that one of the early Corvette wheels was made by KH but the rim was reversed.

Unless I'm confused about this, K-H is simply the manufacturer, right? I'd assume they were the major one until all these aftermarket wheels started showing up? It would be a shame to see those wheels scrapped though. :(

exactly why I went and looked Glenn
had about 10-12 of them pulled out of the pile.
then I thought, I have too much to get rid of now; I don't need to get rid of someone else's stuff as well.
threw them back on the pile

I seem to recall from my research last year that Kelsey Hayes (KH) produced at least 90% of the wheels for the automotive manufacturers at its peak.

I'm still looking for at least one of the 8" wide ones. Is there a way of getting in touch with these folks?

    you mean like this:

I can email larger pic if it would help. It doesn't need to be pretty or match exactly as long as I can mount an ugly on it and use for a spare.
