Rat Jeeps

    Went to a car show in Boise last night. Chip foose was there as well as the painter guy from american hotrod. Lot of nice cars, trucks etc, what caught my attention was an old rat rod leaking coolant, rusty parts, chipped paint, ugly rims. I had a thought about my rusted, leaking, chipped paint and ugly rims on my cj6 and and came up with new style of jeeps----Rat jeeps.

    We do take after the old rat rods,we take parts from anywhere cut,weld, hammer them to fit our jeeps, our jeeps have rust,dents faded paint and leak. With all of nice shiny, restored jeeps and new yj,tj,lj a rat jeep needs to have its place in the sun.

    hmmm i was always thinking of my jeep as a resto-mod. kinda looks stock from the outside ( not exactly) but is builtup underneath. ratjeep, hmmm i like it.

    The Rat Rods where a hit at Detroit's Autorama a week ago. Chip was here too.

    you got to meet that charlie guy if he was with Foose. He seemed pretty nice on TV. It was an episode on american hot rod where he jumped ship to paint for Foose

    How about a gallery for rat jeeps?

    Charlie is from the Boise area and from what I saw he seems to be a nice person.

    I thought rattle can paint has always been in style, when did it go out of style?
