I just hung up the phone with Bestop...and after a thorough interrogation...and checking in-house info. and challenging memory-banks...they believe they never offered an armrest or a locking door handle.

They were very gracious, looked at the pictures on this thread ...considered the similarities of the interior door frame and... held to their guns--not a BesTop

Interesting. I think Tarry needs to be interrogated more thoroughly.........he can remember more once he understands the whole situation. I'll bring the lights, I'm sure Don'x probably has some handcuffs.....we'll need a wooden chair, a regular telephone, etc.

Hey Glenn............I would love to help us all out on that ID subject.........Honestly I thought that all tops were somewhat created equal.......never really paid that much attention other than I knew that taking that one off or putting it on should only be done when it was really warm outside...............................as far as the interrogation , I've been grilled before!.............................and worth the trip just to meet you guys!

:D I know what you mean, I never put much thought into them either. Just went to the dealer and bought one, never thought about brand at all. It would be cool to find out the brand of yours for sure. That latch is unique. :)

Time to dig out all those old Four Wheeler magazines and start looking at all the old ads I suppose.

I got tons of them...went thru all I had...no go.
Even looked at all the door options and replacement parts list for door parts.
    No luck.

Tarry's soft-top still looks most like BesTop to me. I'm not 100% sold on it not being...maybe altered by pros or ??? I'm really grasping at straws here!

The door that Tarry shows has the horizontal flat bar just like the one in this picture that the handles pivot on. Also the ad states it has the roll back windows. What's the chance the latch mechanism is custom made, the door/s reupholstered and it is a Bestop after all? It's almost illogical that a top company would put a locking mechanism on a top. The arm rest doesn't really look like it matches the top, just seems like it would look different if it came from them.

Apparently you and I are on the same wave length. I kept looking back and forth at the pictures and the latch to me just doesn't match the rest of the hardware.

Maybe we need to interrogate them before we do Tarry.
