Ebrake questions.

    Bob and Dondo have the housing for the drum type; 1 internal, 1 external shoe; uses a smaller drum about 9" in diameter

    Yup. Here's the pic's of what I have. I have serious doubts I'll ever hook this thing back up. The pieces are pretty worn out and it always rattled around like crazy and wasn't real effective when oil soaked (usually).

    Pic 1. The drum

    Pic 2. The shoes and lever. I think this wrapped around the bottom of the drum and was actuated by pulling up on my M38A1 style handle which attached to this lever on the drivers side of the drum. Pretty simple. You can see the lever was loos enough to rub on the drum and wear about a 1/4 groove. :rofl:

    it really looks to me like it would be beneficial to switch over to the civilian style ebrake drum or convert to the pedal style using the rear drums. just something to consider...
