OK, ive looked threw a bunch of threads on here. A lot of info on Saginaw swaps. Which I'll be doing. But, I'm using the Jeepster double hole knuckle for my passenger side as well as a high steer setup.
My Dana 27 will have a setup similar to the 72'-75' cj5's. But I'll be using the 1ton gm tie rod and drag link. Here's where I need help. I'm buying the tubing for the tie rod and drag link today. Does anybody have the same setup that can give me lengths from hole to hole on the tie rod and passenger to Saginaw pitman arm hole?
This measurement should include the tie rod ends.
    Thanks guys.

Those lengths will change depending on how you have your steering box mounted, lift, etc. You need to measure the distances once you have everything in place then build the tie rod and drag link.

yeah, I had a feeling i'd have to wait.
Thing is I've got the knuckles off the axle doing the disc brake upgrade right now. My Dana 27 is across town being rebuilt at my mechanics.
Do you know the original lengths for a 72-75? I would assume the tie rod length would be the same. just the saginaw box was mounted farther forward than a short nose Cj5 could.

I know the Dana 27 is 51" inches wide from wheel mount surface to wheel mount surface. So minus the width of the Knuckle/hub/rotor/ should be in the ball park. I think a tie rod of 41" by taking 5 inches per side.
The distance from the pitman to driverside knuckle hole is another distance i would remove for the drag link. which i don't have with me.

since you asked...a bone stock 72-75 D30 tube is 40-5/8" long.

This will be 1" threaded pipe for 7/8" L & R hand. it's from Mikes Parts. I placed the order before I took it apart for Disc upgrade. Then he called me today and told me the order form online messed up and didn't provided the measurements.

The 30 is wider than the 25/27 also. Iirc roughly 1 1/2" overall.

So I went over to my mechanics house and we threw the knuckles on there. From hole to hole I got 41" minus the tie rod end we came up with 37 1/2" So I'm getting 38" on the safe side. the threads are going to be 3" deep on the tube ends. so I can cut it if its a bit to long.
