well I thought I was getting the holy grail T18. turns out it was swapped in the 67 Commando with V6
anyway $200 later this is what I took home . trust me I can make it work when needed , about the worst welding on a shifter I have ever seen .figured I would save this before it became scrap metal .really didn't understand why it had some kind of adapter on front of transmission and the bell housing was welded for new holes . didn't see it till we took it off .parts are parts:D:D

Is it a Ford T18? Looks a lot different than mine. Maybe the adapter is to take up some space for that long pilot shaft on the input. The pto cover is on the other side on my T18 too. The PO sure liked his rtv. Looks like he made sure that top cover would never leak. Haha
    Any chance it's a T19?

looked at it and none of transmission bolts screw into bell housing . only into the adapter . there are 4 bolts in adapter that screw into the welded (built up areas) of bell housing . still wonder what this adapter is . is it a stock part or after market . not a T19 . definitely a jeep T18 . two mounting holes left side jeep only . my current transmission I welded the bell housing for the jeep pattern

Looks like the made for Jeep Borg Warner T-18.......Left side PTO and the small 4 bolt mounting pattern. The Ford Version has the PTO on the Pass. side and the case has the wider pattern with the two additional un-drilled bosses that allow it to be fitted to a BOP bell housing.

Yes, it's a Jeep T-18. The plate adapter looks like the Jeep factory adapter to the T15/T14 bell. The pattern inside the bell looks like the T14/T15 bell pattern. Still a little suspicious, because I would expect the stickout of the Jeep T-18 to be too long for the BOP bell, even with the factory adapter in there.

Does the input shaft look like its been machined after production?

Not pretty, but apparently it works. I'd run it.

Great for parts. I'd measure the input shaft after the bellhousing and adapter is removed. If not modified the input pilot looks like the '76-'79 version and can be hard to find but it needs to be measured to be sure. Especially the front bearing retainer. That is the 6.32-1 first gear version also.
