Hey y'all, I know this is a shot in the dark... But can anyone identify my master cylinder? I can't see a part number on it anywhere! [IMG]

Looks just like the one that was stock in my '62 GMC. One circuit was for brakes and one for hydraulic clutch. I know someone, maybe Advance Adapters, was selling a conversion using that master cylinder.

Thanks! As long as I have a ballpark to start looking. I just need a new pressure switch. My motor is about a 69' 350 so that might be right.

Yes, it looks like the same piece that was on our '62 Suburban.

I had a 62 GMC as well. Nick covered it. I believe they were used 60-62. The slave cylinder was on the passenger side of the bellhousing.

Lot of hot rod guys use these set ups. Looks old school.

Edit: one other thing; the two outlets are switched around, meaning the right side hydraulic line is for the clutch and the left side hydraulic line is for brakes. It's opposite of what you would expect with the brake pedal on the right and clutch pedal on the left.
