What parts do you need? I just completed a :v6: Ross a few weeks ago and had to find most of the parts online... I also have a few spares now so might be able to save you some shipping :coffee: :coffee:

I think Krage [link]www.jeepdoc.com[/link]has a complete kit , I might be wrong if i am try 4wd.com and tellico4x4.com I saw one not long ago on a site. I know for sure I got a draglink hard ware kit from krage just because I needed the rubber seals and metal seal covers.hth BTW swing by the intro section and tell us a little about yourjeep and yourself

I would get the parts from Turner 4WD for this rebuild. 1-800-the-jeep

The '71 steering box was unique among Jeep steering boxes for CJ's.

The steering tube (worm gear) was longer than 'normal'. If you get the shorter steering tube, then you may have problems with the steering column.

Before calling Turner, get the casting number off of the steering box. That will nail down exactly which box you have.

Turner knows and understands this problem. I'm not sure that any of the other jeep aftermarket vendors would have any inkling about this, and I'm sure that the slick sheet catalog people who know nothing at all about these old jeeps won't have a clue.

    good luck
