    Need a little advice please.
    1973 CJ5, 258, T14, Dana 20. All stock

Looks like the rear yolk oil seal is leaking. Jeep only has 45K miles, so I dont feel a full rebuild is in order. I'd like to quickly replace the seal while the TC is still installed.

    Would the sequence be:
    1. remove driveshaft, mark to line up correctly
    2. Remove output shaft nut (1 1/8?) , washer using an impact gun and holding the yolk with a pipe wrench or equivelent?
    3. remove the yolk with some type of puller? What kind?
    4. Remove the oil seal? How? Drill holes in it and pry out?
    5. Press new oil seal in.
    6. Press yolk on, tourque to 250ft lb
    7. re-install driveshaft.

I just want to be prepared with any tools I might need to do this quickly. Thanks

I will use a new nut, washer and oil seal. Anything I'm missing?

Put sealer around the outside of the seal, put grease in the groove where the garter spring is so it doesn't pop out of place, put sealer on the splines on the inside of the yoke before installation to seal the splines, make sure all surfaces are clean and oil free before installation.
