ID this adapter

Wasn't sure exactly which forum this should go in, hope this one's fine. I was digging through the pile of parts that came with my donor jeep, and discovered this today:





Does anyone have a clue of which transmission it's for?

Jeep TH-400 to 20 transfer case as far as I can tell from the pics. Looks to be in pretty rough shape but might be able to be cleaned up. The bearings and transfercase input gear are pretty much toast. Most likely the shaft is too but worth cleaning up and checking out. Common for the mounting ears to crack and break so if cleaned up and in good shape the housing may have decent value to someone with a broken unit.

I'll clean it up, pull it apart, and see what I have. If it looks salvageable, I'll put it up in the classifieds.

 

About the only thing that wrecks those is the tabs breaking/corroding off at the mount area and those appear to be in good condition. Used on fullsize Jeeps, Jeepster and Commando.
