Since there is some discussion on shifters right now I wonder if someone out there might know where I can find a shifter boot for my single shifter D-18. I have looked all over. It seems the boot for the dual shifter ones are easy to find. Thanks. lt4now

Thanks for the quick reply. I visited that site, but they do not seem to have the one I am looking for.

I think he's looking for the flat piece of rubber that the single-stick D18 shifter goes through.

The boot is nothing fancy, IIRC. You may be able to use a piece of flat rubber. You can buy rubber of any thickness places like McMaster-Carr and MSC. Or you can look for discards, like inner tube rubber.

In a similar situation I stitched one up from soft leather. Worked fine.

Like Tim said, the original was a flat piece of rubber with a hole in it. I use a gasket hole punch for a perfect fit.

One piece of advice, stay away from the Crown boots. They deteriorate immediately.
