T-case intermediate shaft Q?

    I'm in the process of building an 18 out of a 20 case. I disassembled the donor 20 yesterday and the shaft and needle bearings look and mic perfect. No marks, dis-coloration, OD reduction, etc. Would there be any reason to buy a new shaft, vs just installing this one into the 18...considering this one is in very good condition?

    If in perfect shape, reuse the old one. I actually prefer oem Dana/Spicer factory shafts over replacements. The exception being the Novak intermediate shaft.
    The oem units hold up much, much better than all but the Novak shaft, and those are about equal as far as I've been able to tell.
