Yep ,Patrick remembers correctly. There are no other water ports on the back.Mine has a casting date of 6-7-85. Perhaps later castings are different?

I have a '71 with a stock (I think) just rebuilt 225 with headers and a 2GV. How much more power might I gain by going 4 barrel? Seems like it should have more top end than it does but I haven't tuned it up or troubleshot it or anything yet. I think the PO put the new engine in with all the old junky externals but I don't know for sure since he's no longer with us.

Another Holley carb that works well is the 4 bbl 4150 from 57 to 66 Ramblers. Most, if not all, are 450 cfm single inlet with side hung bowls and use all the standard Holley parts. Just install spring loaded needles, whistle tubes and extended or connected vents. I am using one of these on my 69 and the only down side I have found is that they are a little sensitive to large elevation differences (5 to 6K difference) so setting the jet size becomes an exercise in compromise. This probably would not be a problem in many locations.

I'm running a 470 TA and I'm about ready to scrap it for EFI of some sort. I've sent mine back to Holley a couple of times and tried several things myself amd I can't seem to get rid of the bog when I stab the throttle. After driving my GPW with a TPI 350 I can't hardly stand the 470. I see a change coming this winter.

Hey guys, Have you done your EFI projects yet? I'm looking curiously at the FAST EZ-EFI, but I'm hesitant over the cost.

Yup, you're right. I was thinking of the Chev sitting in the garage. One I had looked just like the one in the pic as far as coolant ports go.

I have the Holley 2D to play with, and I am going to get PowerJection III sometime this winter as well. I bought more of a Welder than planned, so am delaying the FI a bit.
