I'm tired of looking at the duck tape and would like to put the proper rubber plugs in my windshield frame in the holes that provide access to the wiper linkage. Have not seen a source for these. Anyone seen them? Thanks.

I could never find the round plugs for my '74. Repro at least. You can always check junkyards. I ended up using tweeters that I bought at Best Buy. They have great sound if you hook up an amp and tune it right.

The stock plugs were actually plastic. Walck's, and other places may have them. i've heard of some people finding plugs at places like Lowe's or Home Depot, but I've never looked. They are just an industrial hole plug, nothing really special so I would suspect Grainger, MSC, or other industrial suppliers would have them also. I need to start looking as well as I have a '68-'75 WS that needs a couple also.

They are available, I just can't remember where. Last time I looked (about 8 months ago) I found some from an online jeep vendor, but they were priced at $7.00 ea, which I felt was too much. I'll keep browsing thru my bookmarks, I'll post up when I find the source....

I wound up with some stainless covers that they use to cover the unused holes in stainless steel kitchen sinks, picked 'em up at the local ACE, $2 ea. They come in different sizes, and have little fingers on the back that you can bend a bit for a perfect fit. Scuffed 'em up with scotchbrite, and gave 'em a coat or two of semi gloss black. Look and work well enough that I never bothered with the plastic ones.

But I'll keep looking for the bookmark, may take a day or two, stay tuned.

Just be careful when dealing with Ryan. I live about 8 blocks from him and won't sell to him or buy from him due to some very bad experiences and having to reposess some parts he never paid for....

Does he stock this stuff, or is he a middleman who takes your order, then has your item shipped to you from another vendor?

How did you repossess an installed transmission?R)

He's a dealer or Omix-Ada I believe, Crown, and other manufacturers. He does have a few things manufactured but most of it is other peoples stuff. He stocks quite a bit but I would imagine large items he has shipped direct.
I would hope this has changed but for years he didn't have business insurance. He had a business license but no insurance. He works out of his garage. He worked for some friends of mine, learned all he could, then started selling the same stuff they did and undercutting their prices. He could do this because, again, he worked out of his garage and had very little overhead. This was after these folks put him to work when he wasn't making much money to try and help him out. At one point he tried selling through his business on here by using his personal name instead of his business. It was pointed out to Sparky who he was and what was going on and he was banned from this site.

I had to repo a Buick Scattershield that one of his customers had to have. I put off many other buyers to try and help him out. The customer changed his mind, I never saw my money, and by that time lost my other buyers. I went over to get it back. Found the scattershield laying in his driveway where anyone could have walked off with it. When asked, he said he didn't have time to get it back to me. This was after I watched him drive by my house twice during the time he was supposed to return it.
Another time I went over to let him know where a bunch of Wagoneers were for parts. That's kind of how he got his start, selling FSJ stuff on the internet to folks back east. I was treated like crap, his then about 10 year old started bitching me out for what I have no idea, and he stood there an laughed, thought it was funny..

One of his other tricks was to get on sites like this one and others and when someone would post parts for sale, if he had them he'd post up as a reply to the ad with a lower price for his parts.

Not a very ethical person in my humble opinion. That's why I won't buy from him or sell to him. We were friends once, at least I thought we were until all this. No longer. I've known Ryan since High School.

Disclaimer: This has simply been my personal experience. YMMV.
