I did that to my Jeep. I didn’t put a rotor on it though.

That looks pretty nice but I don't see any purpose packing around the weight of the rotor.

I like the rotor, now you need a locking hub, and don't forget to lock it on the tough trails.

I told Snake it needed a caliper bracket, loaded caliper. He said he'd be dead if he needed that!

The extra counterbalance of this spare tire made my jeep get on this rock. It’s magic! 2210ED8A-EFD4-4221-9EE8-AA4E362E927C.jpeg

This is at Ft Totten, a civil war earthworks fort.

Nice! If it rotates and you don’t want it to would be easy to add an adjustable stop that the tire rests against. Or use a stub axle the locking hub engages.

I think I need to add a chain in an inner tube and a lock so it doesn't disappear. A D30 stub axle would be a good idea. I was thinking I need to bore out the spindle and machine them out to fit the D44, but I cant remember the flange size for my FF. Maybe I will just carry one specific for the rear.

As soon as I get a chance I’ll send you some dimensions. I have a ff spindle I machined years ago for a spare I was going to use for a spare and spare tire carrier. Probably tomorrow or early this week. In a pinch it can be used for the front to get you home even though it doesn’t index off the bore of the knuckle.

You need to rig up a couple of little air scoops so it rotates as you drive down the road
