At approximately 8:21 pm, on November 11th that Buick motor fired up. I'm in love.

Need to get the clutch pedal hooked up next, then brakes, but I worked all day yesterday, 730 am to 8pm and Friday I spent 4 hours after work on this project so I'm burned out.

Need to get ready for gun deer season, make sure the wife can hit a 10" circle at 100 yards, and set some stands. To be continued

Ended up having to remove the transmission in order to reset the throwout fork. It's nice that companies make parts for our old jeeps, just wish they made better ones with a little more attention to quality.

A friend came over and helped me muscle the transmission back into place. Tomorrow after work I plan to get all the linkages hooked up and hopefully drive it around the yard.

Changed the oil today, going through, triple checking things i should look over before the maiden voyage.

    1. Is there a cap for this hole in the valve cover? (Circled)
    2. Is there a stock-ish looking paper air filter setup? While i appreciate the PO' rad paint job on the oil air bath, thats his story, not mine.

Still on this. Weather isn't on my side, my shed is unheated/not insulated.
Think it will take some clutch adjustment but all the bits and pieces are connected.
Next year's project it seems. Leaving Thursday for the Carolina's until Jan 3rd.

I "think" the valve cover grommet in a jeep 4.0 is the same size. I have a couple in my toolbox but haven't had the chance to check yet.

Got the clutch sorted out, took it for a test drive. That HP and power steering really put a smile on my face. I only went up the lane by my house, I didn't hook up the dana 18 isolator yet.

Got the dana 18 isolator bushing installed and took the wife for a drive. She's happy so I take that as an OK to spend more money :D

Crap. Was gonna weld in some new sheet metal patches, but it's pouring rain (in Wisconsin, in January) and I just found out that I'm out of welding gas. Those are my excuses to not work on the jeep today.
    Tomorrow Ill get something done..hopefully.

Also stopped in at Walmart on my home to look at tires.

They had 4 wrangler authority AT's in 31x10.5x15 in stock, those may be my tires for the summer
