Have to mount the actuator and finish the wiring but this will be wrapped up tomorrow. I went through the bearings and installed new u bolts. Spiral: had a caliper slip out of my hand and kinked the hose. On order... Never liked those Rugged Ridge ( nee Omix) hoses anyway.

I'm very interested in seeing the actuator setup with pics please. I plan on OX lockers for my 3B, hopefully next project.

Didn’t get a whole lot done today, just ran wire for the new electric fan. Had to pull all the wire loom apart and run wire then put everything back together. I was able to this while sitting on a stool.

Rainy day yesterday so I got to some misc cosmetic things....

Added a lock to my toolbox lid:

A lace on steering wheel cover. Reminds me of my Grandpa. He had them on his broncos when I was a kid and it makes me think of him :)

And found THE BEST decal from an M38  "smokes at halts only" HAHAHAHHAAH

Where did you find the old style steering wheel cover?
I look every-time I go to flaps but all I can find is hello kitty slip covers…

I mounted the actuator on the drivers fender forward. Used the 36" cable, nice sweep up from the differential. Required moving the overflow tank and relocating the horn. Switch is in and wiring 95% put power to it tomorrow and test!

What does the front diff actuator eliminate? Do you still need to lock your hubs? Can you switch to 4 low and 4 high?

  20. nickmil

    nickmil In mothballs.

It doesn’t eliminate anything, it’s to actuate the Ox Locker (locking differential) he installed above. Hubs must still be locked to have 4 wheel drive. Has no effect on transfer case operation.
