The templates are going to Timmy today (53Flattie) as he requested them first. You can make arrangements with him to be next in line or get a copy made/sent...;)

Not quite!!! I gotta wait on the template to arrive! Then, I gotta wait until I finish this other Jeep (or at least get to the point where I'm waiting on something).

I'll be sure to report my findings and take pictures.

has anyone actually sent their drums to chtopping for drilling?
i am debating on drilling myself or sending out.

fyi i switched from 10 to 11" since my old drums were shot anyway. if you have a source for 11" stock up on them since they are somewhat rare... at least the backing plates are.

R-P 4wd sells the whole kit for 11" brakes.
Fronts run $275, rears with park brake run $300.
    www.r-p4wd.com
When the funds are there I'll swap up to 11"ers.
May just do a D30 swap with disks and go 11s for the rear.
For now I must dance with the one who brung me. :D

    yes i believe so zed.

i swapped in a d30 in the front with 11" drums and i got my d44 hooked up from an old wagoneer at the bone yard. i paid like $7 for the plates off the waggy and i got the whole d30 axle for $50 iirc.

you save a whole bunch of $$ if you build the kit yourself. i bought the first complete d30 i could find for cheap... people seem to want too much for a disc d30. i am considering getting the parts together to convert to discs, but i think drilled drums is the way to go for easy maintenance.

Not to many old Jeeps left to be picked over here. Most have been bought up or picked clean.
I have a D30 on tap. Just need the funds to pick it up.

Later today I might have a pic of my 11" drilled drums... I pulled the wheels to do my frame project, and my dirty drums showed a cool pattern from when the water was forced out... I took a pic, I'll pick up the CD later this morning . I'll post it here if it's a clear pic.

As for sending drums to CHTopping, for the cost per drum for drilling plus shipping 4 heavy drums from the right coast to the left coast and back... I bought a nice drill press, did the job myself... it was cheaper for me this way, and I got to keep the drill press :)
