    As title states.

Mine is really beat up from years of hard wheeling. I am on the lookout for another but is 72-85 the only thing that will fit my 73 or can i make a older model jeep crossmember fit it?

'72- early '75 should be interchangeable for the most part. Might need to drill some holes. early CJ crossmembers can work but may need some modifications depending on what transmission you currently have as some '72-'75 crossmembers have a specific notch stamped in them. Late '75 used a unique crossmember different than anything else. '76-'86 used a completely different crossmember that was large skid plate as well. Might be able to be modified but I've never done it as I build my own.
