Since I have my tub off I began to think about strapping my frame. Does one need to strap both the top and bottom or can just the top be done. Also what size flat stock is the best to use?

I've seen it done for race Jeeps. They strap the entire length top and bottom with 1/8" stock just narrower than the frame rail. Then it's stitched to the frame; 2" of weld, 4" of no weld, something like that.

Actually I'd think along the bottom would do the most good - that's the rail in tension. That's also what Jeep did on the CJ-6.
