What power steering pump has everyone used with a Buick 225? Is there a direct bolt on power steering pump assembly that will work on the Buick 225?

    Thanks

There's a couple of styles that will fit. 70/71 Jeepster used a high mounted pump but they're a little hard to find. What most do is get the pump and brackets off a 70/s-80's GM/Chev/Olds that had the 231 odd or even fire. These are a low mount and are a direct fit. I might have a picture of mine mounted on the engine, if I don't I'll get one. Buicks with 350 Buick engines only are another source, again a low mount pump.

    Here ya go.

i got one from a buick 350 and it is the high mount aluminum bracket. bolts right up and the alignment is right on with the pulleys. mine is a 231 oddfire but shouldn't make too much difference.

You may also need the crankshaft pulley if you have the single groove pulley now.

Is there any clearance issues with the low mount PS brackets? I have found a low mount bracket for a reasonable amount and a high mount bracket for twice the cost. I am putting this in a 3B and will be using a Herms' Ford Reverse Steering Box adaptor.

    Thanks for the insite.

The low mount pump most likely will interfere with Herm's steering box set up. Lots of posts about that. Might do a search as there was a bunch of discussion a while back about this very thing. One of the reasons I don't like that steering conversion.

The low mount pump will interfere with the stock forward dump drivers side exhaust manifold. The high mount pump will cure this issue.

Does anyone actually keep that manifold when converting to P/S?
