what year engine

I have a 1974 cj5 it has a 360 engine in it,how can i find out what year the 360 is?

 

Any chance it still has the original valve covers with the tag attached to the right cover? If so go here-http://www.ifsja.org/tech/motors/engcode360.html keeping in mind that valve covers are easy to change so no guarantee it's correct. This head casting number chart may help narrow down the year a bit-http://www3.sympatico.ca/david.crooks/amc.PDF. Actual block casting number tells you very little.
