    Hi All;
    We are going to have to replace all the body mounts on the 66.
    There is just not much left of them. I have a 2" body lift kit that I
    bought several years ago for a 76 cj7 that I had. Can this be used
    on the 66?
    Thanks
    Cindy

    I would guess that the 66 still has the clutch and brake pedals pivoting below the floor, If you raise the body 2" with a body lift , the pedals will rub the frame and the steering column will not function correctly. 1/2" lift ok, 1" lift maybe, but not 2". Older jeeps are better lifted with spring, not body lifts. Might be able to use some of the parts from the 2" lift, and cut the bushings down to 1/2".

    if your talking about the hat channels , they will need to be replaced . as what another forum member said . floor mounted pedals don't work well with a body lift
