Seeing Red....

Jeep was originally red. Many years ago when still on the ranch we decided to paint it. I wanted forest green, but was convinced that a lighter color would show fewer imperfections! Anyway, most of the red is still there.

This is how the engine compartment is coming along. love those aluminum headlight buckets!

 

Before the jeep was painted green there was a little mishap...we were driving down this dirt road and managed to shake the battery loose, it then shorted out on the hold-down frame, overheated and blew up. Made a pretty big bang. The result is that there is not quite as much red paint remaining on the right front, near the battery.
