Yikes! You mean there are only two bolts holding the danged flywheel onto the crankshaft??

There should be two tapered dowels in the crank, and 4 other bolts for a total of six fasteners holding the flywheel onto the crankshaft. The same setup is used on L- and F-head engines.

My engine has 2 tapered dowels/studs and 4 empty holes. I have owned several jeeps but dont remember what kind of fly wheel bolts they had. I pulled a engine out of a parts rig but havent re move fly wheel. As far as i know i am not missing any thing else.
