I think that the first one is the strap that holds down the under seat gas tank.

No, I don't think so. That fuel tank strap is not symmetrical like the one in his picture, and the bend radius isn't the same.

It's hard to judge the size of it from the picture but the first one looks like a heater core strap, you should have two of them.

Sorry, bad scale of the photo, I checked and it is not big enough to span the gas tank, nor as wide. It is about the same dimensions a a Jerry Can, was there ever a strap used to mount a Jerry can inside, or outside, the tub? Anyone have ideas about the second bracket? These will most likely be for sale once I figure out what they are, but I have no idea what I would be selling.

    Thanks!

The second one looks like half of some kinda mount that goes where the pintle-hook would be mounted on the back.
There may be another that has the same bolt pattern as this one, plus a third centered hole in the part that goes on top, which extents out enough to have a hitch-ball mounted to it.

I may be blowing smoke, though. I just have a memory of seeing one on the back of an Early CJ or military jeep.

The diagonal slot looks kinda like it might accept a "t-hook" like tow trucks and transporters use.

my tailgate doohicky is welded on. That looks like something that hangs on the frame some where, but need a scale to get an idea of size.
