I think you made the right decision. I have put a fair amount of miles on my SOA dropped pitman arm but I would never let somebody else drive it, even in town. It can get pretty hairy if you don't stay on top of driving it!

One of these days I will pull the trigger on that high steer!

well i finially finished his spring over (which trust me, involved WAY MORE then just flopping the springs over the axless) and to say the least was a chore and a half. The spring over part is easy, but all 4 of his rear spring mounts were twisted one way like the jeep got smoked by another car from the side and shoved the axle over a good inch. That alone not only screwed up the rear but was twisting the front as well. Took a hole day to straighten the frame back out just to make it sit straight. Also, I pulled 2 leafs out of his front springs and shortened his already too long shackles to get the jeep down a good inch or so (sits a smidge higher then a new 4" sua lift). He ordered a 3 or 4" drop pitman arm and i didn't know bout it till it came in the mail (lucky they sent him one for PS and it didn't work). I told him bout the Arms nickmil sent me a link too and told him that IT IS NOT SMART NOR A GOOD IDEA TO DRIVE THE JEEP AROUND WITH THAT KIND OF STEERING AND IF HE DOES ANYWAYS THEN HE IS TAKING A BIG CHANCE FOR SOMTHING GOING REALLY WRONG AND COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS JEEP DAMAGE OR BODILY DAMAGE OR WORSE! But he is only doing this to make a niagra rim trail run at the end of the month....so I dont know.
