Rear main seal

My m38a1 has been seting for some time before a got it. Its R M S was leaking so i replaced it. I have drove it a littlie and its steal Leaks Bearings look good. I had same problem on 2 other jeep 1 it fixed it frist time other one it was a cj2a with a rebuilt engine 0 miles. It leaked i replaced RMS and it steal leaked I drove it like that and years later replaced it. When i looked at old RMS on cj2a it lookes like only center had been touching crank second RMS fixed it. Are their more than one RMS? Has some one had this problem two?
