    I've heard of Hudson steering, but not Studebaker. Maybe it's the same? :driving:

    Tim, I think the Hudson is still a Ross, just a better version.

    Howard, looks like the toughest part of this swap would be finding a '62 Studebaker.

    I remember hearing about them (more years ago than I care to remember), but then we went with the manual Saginaw and I never looked into it more.

    I've never heard of it. I guess my question would have to be "Why?" The saginaw boxes are not hard to find, I would guess parts are still available. I'm thinking the Stude box may not have this availability. Not that it wouldn't be cool to say you have a Studebaker steering box on your JEEP.
