Has anybody powder coated their headers or manifolds? If so how well has it held up?

I would go with Jet Hot.. an amazing exhaust manifold / header coating. I have had it on my Jeeps exhaust manifolds for 20 years now.. they still look 90% ... It isnt cheap, abt $300, but worth every penny.

I used the Hi Temp (2000d) paint on the heads and exhaust headers (both cast iron) on a V8 and it held up fine. I think the brand that I used was Krylon. But that was about 30 years ago and they may have changed their formula.

Powder coat = no, it will discolor with heat.
Ceramic coat = yes, it is meant for this purpose.
Got a buddy that ran the powder coat booth at B&W Truck Beds and that’s what he told me. Also a neighbor has a ‘57 Chevy with a 327 that he smoothed out the stock exhaust manifolds and had them ceramic coated chrome and last time I saw it they’re just as shiny and free of discoloring, bluing, as they were 10 years ago when he did it.
