That’s why before I do my Waggy axle swap I’m getting an OX for the front.

    My .02 FWIW-
I've been a Detroit Locker and a PowrLok guy for decades. I recently finished a CJ7 and found a NIB OX for the AMC 20 for half price so i picked it up. Been thinking of something selectable in the rear of my Jeeps for a while to give them a little better road manners. I love the Detroits off road but cringe when I think about the wife driving them on the highway. So I tried the OX and LOVE IT. First off, it really is built like a tank. Shifter operation is easy and solid. The cable is great quality. Any of the selectable lockers are going to require some type of mechanism to actuate the locker itself whether its an air line, cable or a wire. Air lines and wires require drilling into the pumpkin whereas the cable for the OX exits through its own diff cover so its a bit simpler to install. And as Warlock said a simple bolt into the diff cover gets u locked again in the event of a cable or shifter failure. Air lockers have switches, air lines, compressors and a 20 year track record. OX's haven't been around as long but are strong and offer an alternative to air lines. The electrics are the newest option and they have been embraced by the car manufacturers so thats gotta say something. You probably can't go wrong with any of them- it all boils down to personal preference.
Let us know how it turns out.:)

P.S. I tried my first TrueTrac in the front of the same Jeep. Still haven't decided if I like it better than a PowrLok. It's transparent in the steering but I'm not convinced that it is as aggressive. Time will tell...
