identification of jeep cover parts

When I bought this CJ5 a few months ago, the PO included the parts shown in the picture at the link below and said they were for securing the canvas cover and steel tube frame when not up. The 2 dark green brackets in the picture make sense to me...2 like them are already on my jeep, but the other four silver brackets and the metal bars have me stumped. How do they attach to the jeep and the steel tube frame?

I'm not sure about the silver brackets, but the rods look like door frame rods to me. One goes through the top horizontally and into the windshield, and the other one vertically up to the horizontal one.
