1967 Commando Gear Stick and Shifter Knob questions?

Next questions on my 1967 Commando Half Cab restoration:

1. I can't tell what the finish is supposed to be on the 3 speed and transfer case gear shift sticks. The transfer case stick looks like it was chrome, but I really can't tell on the transmission shift stick. I haven't found any good pictures of a 3 speed online to compare. My trim level appears to be the base model. (white bumpers, no frills) Should I do chrome on both sticks to stay original?

2. My shifter knob has no graphics on it showing the shift pattern. The replacement knobs I have seen online do not have patterns either. Did the original shift knob have the shift pattern on it for the transmission and/or transfer case?

There were two transfer case knobs used. One was chrome which was generally used when the auto trans had the chrome knob. The other was the white or actually ivory colored plastic. They both had the shift pattern on top of the knob. The gear shift for standard transmission were all black with no shift pattern.
I should mention the chrome transfer case knobs were metal not plastic.

 

Thanks!! I guess my original manual trans knob is good then. What about the gear sticks themselves? Should the sticks be chrome?

Gear shift nob black, t case black with white graphics for shift pattern. Parents bought it new that's the way ours came.

 

Ah, the elusive black TC knob . I've seen a couple over the years, for some reason the white seemed more popular, maybe they were easier to see .
You're going to have to give us the history on your Jeepster some day 67jeepster. I remember reading about it years ago but can't recall the story.
