I have a 1967 Commando Half Cab that I have just started restoring. I am trying to keep it as original as possible so I have questions. I'm sure this will be the first of many:

My Commando has a white gas cap. In all the pictures I have looked at I have not seen any other Commandos with a white gas cap. They usually match the factory paint as far as I can tell. So that leads me to believe that either my cap is not original, or someone painted it white. Does this look like an original gas cap, and should I paint it the same color as the body to make it factory correct... aka give it the factory original appearance?
