Found these at a self serve junk yard in the back of an early '60s Scout 800 half cab. Would these be correct for a '50 3A? They appear to be to be 16 x 4.5, have a set of 6.50-16 mounted on them. Doing a rolling restoration, and currently 3 of my 5 rims are combat rims.

I can not tell for sure in the pics, but they should not have the bulges to fit a hub cap to be correct for a 3A.

Your first pic shows a broken lug hole in one, don't buy that one.

Already bought them, will look for more cracks through lug hole, hadn't examined them that close. $60 investment so far, and all four tires are good, have held pressure for 3 weeks, no weather checking i have found. No hub caps lugs on the rims. Can the rims be fixed and reliable. I can weld, but will there be issues with serviceability?

I would scrap any that are broken. They aren't that rare, and spending the extra money to complete the set would be worth it for peace of mind.

You should make more than enough to cover these and a couple more like them by selling your combat rims (assuming you really have the bolt-together WWII-era combat rims).

If they were in the back of a Scout, maybe they are Scout rims? That does not mean they are wrong - the Scout has the same bolt pattern and was contemporary with the 3A-3B. Maybe you can ask on the Binder Planet board for some feature that confirms they are OEM Scout. Clearly they were made by Kelsey-Hayes, wheel-builders for many car companies.
