    Only because it's hard to tell from the pic-- are you sure it's a crack & not a trace from the head gasket?

    Yep. My question too. I saw the trace in your original post, and was waiting for you to clean the head and block surface. How does it look with the surface clean?

    I have been trying not to get my hopes up about this very idea. I have not gotten back out there, too busy with revelry for the past few days. Might go out tomorrow and start cleaning, will start there, take some pix and repost then. Fingers crossed but dubious....
